The One Left Behind by donttouchmymilk The One Left Behind by donttouchmymilk
Oh my goodness, words cannot describe how happy I am about this shoot. Back in 2008, Sae Kurosawa was my first official cosplay. Revamping her seemed the best way to celebrate 5 years of cosplay. I was also thrilled to do this shoot with :iconsoulfirephotography:, who was really the first person I ever had an official shoot with.
This shoot turned into a bit of a challenge. Turns out cemeteries behind abandoned churches, although fantastic places to shoot horror, are a bit treacherous. Haha. I got stung by a yellow jacket, I'm pretty sure Soulfire's boyfriend got bitten by something, and I can't be the only one who walked away with about a dozen mosquito bites. But it was totally worth it.

Myself as Sae Kurosawa
Fatal Frame II

She's the real star of this picture. I just hang there. ;)

I've already commented on this one on every other instance I've encountered, but this is one of my favorite Sonja photos ever. And while this may be the strangest compliment I ever give you (though, considering me, perhaps not), you pull off dangling-dead-lady-feet quite masterfully. BRAVO.

It's one of my absolute favorites too!  She took such a simple idea and ran full force with it.  Haha.  Thaaaanks.  I was trying very hard to relax my lower body, and I really like how the whole thing turned out.  :)

it's so good to see how the simplest idea can turn to the most affective photo :) it's a great capture by your friend indeed, you can tell it's Sae without seeing anything else or a whole costume, and it is a great horror photo even out of the Fatal Frame II context.
Īt must have been really great to celebrate your 5 years cosplaying, returning to your first character :) that's a long time! The location was well picked too. I've always found graveyard shootings to appear quite difficult, but over your country it's somewhat more 'normal' to do that, isn't it? I get that idea at least, over here I don't think it would be easy at all, people would stare all the time and it would be quite awkward.

I really can't claim any credit on this one. I was legit just dangling from a tree limb. She rocked this one so hard. One of my favorite horror shots of hers ever.
